French creator/Sculptor lighting design

 

I am a lighting artist. Today I live in my hometown : Lyon (Fête des Lumières / Lyon Festival of Lights).  I spent the majority of my time in the neighbourhoods of old Lyons. I have previously lived in the United States, in Los Angeles, in Lausanne, Switzerland and mountain in Chamonix.

Sport has always helped me to challenge myself and be combative and enduring. In my life I’m always constantly looking for performance and challenges in the spirit of a competitor.

I am an artist with an unusual background. A few years ago, I was a banker! One day I made my dream to… imagine, create, design and sell a product became a reality for me. One day live a new life, I have chosen the way of sensitivity, my passion. Then one day we have more choice.

Autodidact I trained at home ; I experimented, I tested for years before getting to what I was looking for in my dreams – The PRASLIGHTS Lamp.

Being demanding allows me to take the time necessary for each model, as opposed to only concentrating on production rate and figures. This therefore allows me to follow my inspirations and continue and improve a piece, 6 months or 1 year after its inception.

Being a perfectionist I spent hours, day and night, in my  contemplating how I would realise my objective before reaching what I imagined. I create, I conceptualized and then I scrap it and start all over again, or continue it.

 

 

 

The PRASLIGHTS Lamp

 

My works have two different aspects to them, one is the day (a sculpture) and the other night (luminaire).

The projection of colors against the wall is the first idea of my work ; to bring out all the colours and have a unique projection in any room. To create a soothing atmosphere in your home, relaxation, serenity… and make the place different from what it was before.

The Creation / design was inspired by nature. Plants, flowers, trees, vines, forest, shadows of the forest. For this reason we can imagine or see some resemblance in the projections and tones to roots or vines or of roses.

However I have also created another other contemporary style, with no reference at all to nature. So there are in fact two style of lamps. Most of the time the lamp base is metal and the shade is made with different glasses (recycled glass mosaic, blown glass, frosted glass…).

There are many original creations with a wide choice: the bedside lamp or salon, mini lamp, floor, wall, luster. I also offer the possibility of a variation of PRASLIGHTS to be placed within furniture.

Each lamp is unique… PRASLIGHTS will make your decoration become personalized like nowhere else… unique.

Each of the models is filed with the « INPI » under the brand name « PRASLIGHTS »

PRASLIGHTS a lamp is « a piece of art »… useful art.
